Eight-month-old Miya from Kentucky is still missing, and the police are actively searching for her following the arrest of her parents last week.
Miya’s parents, Tesla Tucker, 29, and Cage C. Rudd, have been charged with various offenses, including abandoning a child and drug-related charges.
Additional charges of child abuse, drug trafficking, and organized crime involvement have been filed against the parents.
The trio is currently detained at the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.
Miya’s grandfather, Ricky J. Smith, aged 54, has also been arrested on charges including child abuse, abandonment, drug-related offenses, and firearm charges.
All suspects were scheduled to appear in court on Monday in Hartford.
Moreover, a fifth individual has been apprehended, and their connection to the case remains unclear.
Residents of Reynolds Station are extending their support in the search for Miya, as reported by WEHT, an ABC affiliate television station.
A nearby neighbor, Shane Heminway, expressed concerns about the behavior of Miya’s parents, alleging reckless driving through the cemetery and dangerous driving habits.
Kentucky State Police have received tips about the case and urge anyone with information to contact them at 270-826-3328.
