Tim Walz Welcomes Bruce Springsteen’s Endorsement: ‘The Boss’ Has Spoken

Tim Walz, the Democratic vice-presidential candidate, recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his excitement about receiving support from legendary musician Bruce Springsteen.

On October 3, Springsteen shared a video on Instagram, explaining why he is backing Walz and Kamala Harris, urging fans to participate in what he views as a crucial election.

In reaction to Springsteen’s endorsement, which has garnered a whopping 1.8 million views on X, Walz expressed his gratitude: “Wow. As a lifelong fan of The Boss, I couldn’t be more honored to have his support,” earning nearly 100,000 likes and 10,000 shares.

Springsteen highlighted that both Harris and Walz are dedicated to fostering an inclusive America, stating, “They want to grow our economy in a way that benefits all, not just a few.” He emphasized that this vision aligns with the principles he’s championed through his music for over 55 years.

He wrapped up his video by affirming his own voting choice, saying, “That’s why come November 5 I’ll be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Thanks for listening.” He also labeled former President Donald Trump as “the most dangerous candidate for president” he’s encountered in his lifetime.

Springsteen’s endorsement came shortly after Taylor Swift voiced her support for the Democratic candidates on Instagram, to which Walz responded appreciatively, noting both his gratitude for Swift and his admiration for her eloquence.

The list of musicians supporting Harris continues to grow and includes notable names like Megan Thee Stallion, Barbra Streisand, Billie Eilish, and John Legend, among others. Springsteen, a long-time advocate for political change, previously supported Barack Obama in 2008 and Joe Biden in 2020.
