Tragic Update on Blind Missing Michigan Boy Found in Freezer

A Michigan mother has been sentenced for the horrific torture and murder of her blind 3-year-old son, Chayse Allen, whose body was found in a freezer.

Azuradee France, 33, faced charges from the Wayne County Prosecutor in 2022, including first-degree child abuse and torture. On July 12, she ultimately pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.

The sentencing was deeply emotional, with Diallo, a family advocate, stating, “It’s heart-wrenching. Everyone let this child down. He deserved help.”

France claimed that frustration led her to kick Chayse in the chest in March 2022 when he wouldn’t eat. The next day, she found him unresponsive but didn’t call 911, fearing her other children would be taken away, as reported by The Detroit Times.

She placed his body in a bag and put it in the basement freezer, where it was discovered by police three months later during a welfare check, found in a severely decomposed state.

Following an anonymous tip, Child Protective Services (CPS) had been contacted, leading to a welfare check where police interviewed France.

Family members stated it wasn’t the first time CPS had been alerted about the situation at the home, as they had received around 13 previous calls.

Police Chief James E. White highlighted the officers’ keen instincts during the investigation, stating, “They sensed something was off in the conversation with the occupant.”

Shocked by the discovery, Chief White added, “It’s tragic for the other five kids in the home; they will surely face trauma from this.”

Captain Kimberly Blackwell mentioned that Child Protective Services are currently assisting the remaining children, placing them in safe homes, and referred them to the Kids-TALK Children’s Advocacy Center, which offers resources for children affected by abuse, including medical evaluations and mental health services.
