Update on Search for Missing Minnesota Woman Nikki Anderson

The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office is intensifying its search for 56-year-old Nicole ‘Nikki’ Irene Anderson, who disappeared nearly three weeks ago in Minnesota.

Despite the ongoing search, Anderson’s family remains hopeful that she will be found safe.

Anderson was last seen on July 6th at 10 a.m., leaving her home in Randolph Township on foot. She was wearing dark pants, sandals, and a long gray sweatshirt. Anderson is a white female, around 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with blonde hair and brown eyes.

Her mother, Durene Mies, mentioned that Anderson went out to get the mail but never returned. She left behind her phone, wallet, glasses, and her beloved dog. Anderson also left her medication behind, crucial as she was recovering from a double mastectomy and nearing the end of her breast cancer treatment.

Search efforts included a thorough search of her residence, property, and nearby areas on foot and by air using drones, helicopters, and K-9 units. Despite these extensive efforts, Anderson has not been found, and authorities believe she is not in the vicinity of her home.

Investigators also searched Anderson’s boyfriend’s home in Randolph, but she was not located there. The boyfriend, Matthew Suttles, initially a person of interest, was later ruled out as a suspect after surrendering on unrelated charges.

Anderson’s brother, Troy Haro, suspects foul play and believes she may have been kidnapped. He points to a man who previously posed as a woodcutter on the Andersons’ property as a potential suspect, alleging that he had stalked his sister in the past.

Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing their commitment to the case despite limited public updates. Dakota County Sheriff Joe Leko reassured the community that investigators are dedicated to finding Anderson.

Anderson’s family, friends, and the community are eagerly awaiting news. The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office remains determined to locate Anderson and provide closure to her family.
