Donovan McNabb Shares His Top Four All-Time NFL Quarterbacks

The debate about the greatest athletes in sports history is a timeless topic, and everyone has something to say about it.

In the NFL, the spotlight often shines brightest on quarterbacks when discussing the greatest of all time. The quarterback is a crucial role in football, evolving significantly over the years.

One standout quarterback from the past two decades is Donovan McNabb. He achieved a lot in the NFL and exemplified what it means to win.

When asked about his top quarterbacks, McNabb shared his personal Mount Rushmore with John Robinson IV and Doug McKain of LA Sports Report.

“Not in any order: Joe Montana, Tom Brady, John Elway, and Warren Moon.”

This list features names that many fans would recognize, making it a familiar lineup.

Brady is often regarded as the GOAT, boasting seven Super Bowl titles—six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Before Brady, Montana held that title, winning four Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers while also claiming three Super Bowl MVP awards, two regular-season MVPs, and eight Pro Bowl selections.

Elway led the Denver Broncos to two Super Bowl victories, earning one Super Bowl MVP and making nine Pro Bowls throughout his career.

Moon is perhaps the most debatable name on the list, yet he made nine Pro Bowls, led the league in passing yards twice, and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Notably absent from McNabb’s roster is the rising star Patrick Mahomes. However, McNabb remarked that if Mahomes maintains his performance for another few seasons, he could take a spot on Mount Rushmore.

“Another four to five years of success will really secure his place,” he stated.

This is a big endorsement for Mahomes, who has already captured three Super Bowls and three MVP awards in his young career. His journey in the NFL is still unfolding, with the potential to become the GOAT down the road.
