Fans Go Wild as Caleb Williams Celebrates Touchdown with Self-Spike!

Caleb Williams, the Chicago Bears’ standout quarterback and the No. 1 overall draft pick, had a memorable game on Sunday, leading his team to a 36-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers. This win marks his third in the NFL.

The Bears’ defense shined, limiting the Panthers to under 300 total yards and forcing three turnovers. On the offensive side, Williams and the team racked up an impressive 424 yards without any turnovers, dominating the time of possession with nearly 34 minutes on the clock.

Williams, at just 22 years old, delivered his best performance as a professional, although it wasn’t without its comedic moments. During one of the many touchdowns, he got carried away with the celebration and ended up spiking himself!

This amusing incident did not go unnoticed, with fans humorously commenting online.

Some impressive stats from Williams include completing 20 of 29 passes for 304 yards, with two touchdowns and a stellar 126.2 passer rating—his highest yet.

The Bears came out determined for a quicker start, launching into a seamless 70-yard drive on their opening possession, culminating in a touchdown pass from Williams to star wide receiver DJ Moore, kicking off a day of offensive success.

Reflecting on the draft trade that sent Moore to Chicago, it’s interesting to note that the Panthers could have had either Williams or Moore on their roster. The Bears traded for Moore and the No. 9 pick, which ended up as the top overall pick in 2024.

Instead of having those assets, the Panthers faced a tough matchup against them, while Moore enjoyed his best game of the season with five catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns.

Next up for Williams is a matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London next Sunday—his first trip there since 2019. The Bears, coming off a prior London game that didn’t go well, are eager to replicate their successful start from this week and inch closer to a playoff spot.

The plan for next week is straightforward: get to London safely, secure the win, and hopefully avoid any more accidental spikes from Williams!
