New York Giants running back Devin Singletary has officially been ruled out for their Week 6 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, following a downgrade in his status on Saturday night.

Singletary is sidelined due to a groin injury, missing his second consecutive game. In addition, punter Jamie Gillan and wide receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton will also be absent from Sunday night’s matchup.
He joined the Giants on a three-year, $16.5 million contract after Saquon Barkley left for Philadelphia. Before getting injured, Singletary had made a significant impact with 56 carries for 221 yards and two touchdowns, along with 10 receptions on 11 targets.
With Singletary out, Tyrone Tracy is expected to step up against the Bengals. The fifth-round pick had an impressive performance last week, racking up 129 rushing yards on 18 carries in the Giants’ win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Adding to the team’s challenges, the Giants signed veteran punter Matt Haack, who stood out in a workout, outperforming five other punters. Haack, who averages 44.5 yards per punt, will be playing in his 100th NFL game this Sunday.
The Arizona State alum previously spent four seasons with the Miami Dolphins and has also played for the Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, and Cleveland Browns.
The team will also be missing rookie receiver Malik Nabers, who is out due to a concussion sustained in Week 4. Nabers drew attention for attending a Travis Scott concert this week, which led to some backlash from fans.
Head coach Brian Daboll addressed concerns about Nabers’ concert attendance, clarifying that it did not breach concussion protocol, though he remained tight-lipped about Nabers’ recovery progress. “I’ll leave that in-house,” he remarked, “but making progress. He’ll do more than he did yesterday, similar to probably the day before. It’s a day-by-day situation.”
With both Singletary and Nabers ruled out, the Giants face a tough challenge against Joe Burrow and the Bengals in Week 6.
