Nabers had an impressive season at LSU, contributing to a 10-win campaign with 89 receptions for 1,549 yards and 14 touchdowns over 13 games.

Regarded as one of the top wideouts in the draft alongside Marvin Harrison Jr., Nabers was rumored to be a potential higher pick. Harrison, however, went fourth to the Arizona Cardinals, two slots ahead of Nabers.

Already, Nabers is catching eyes across the league.

“He’s talented and really quick with his cuts,” Gardner said. “Honestly, he reminds me of LSU receivers like Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson, but he’ll carve out his own identity.”

Receiving such lofty comparisons before even stepping onto the field in a meaningful game is a significant endorsement for the rookie.

To reach the impressive levels of Chase and Jefferson, Nabers will need to consistently produce strong numbers. His playing style mirrors both All-Pros, thanks in part to his LSU background.

Nabers showcases excellent route-running skills similar to Chase, combined with the speed that opens up plays for him. His strong hands allow him to make contested catches, a trait Jefferson has become known for in the NFL.

LSU has a history of developing exceptional wide receivers, and Nabers appears poised to continue that legacy. Being in New York provides him with a vast platform to showcase his talent.
