The Kansas City Chiefs have firmly established themselves as one of the elite teams in the NFL, bolstered by the undeniable talent of their quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.

Despite facing challenges with a less-than-ideal wide receiver lineup, Mahomes led the Chiefs to their second consecutive Super Bowl victory, a feat not seen since the New England Patriots did it in 2003 and 2004.
With back-to-back championships, Mahomes is already in the conversation for the greatest quarterback of all time, joining the ranks of legends like Tom Brady. While he has many more seasons ahead, his incredible skill set makes a strong case for his position in football history.

So, it raised eyebrows when NFL.com’s Top 100 players ranked Mahomes at No. 4, behind Christian McCaffrey, Lamar Jackson, and Tyreek Hill. Many commentators expressed their discontent with his placement, but Mahomes had a cool response to it all.
When asked about the ranking, Mahomes simply replied, “It is what it is.” And really, why should he care? His achievements on the field speak volumes, and he lets his performance become the antidote to any ranking controversy.
Mahomes also faced some mockery when the Las Vegas Raiders unveiled a Kermit puppet styled after him. Instead of getting upset, he brushed it off, stating it would be “taken care of”—and we all know that means outplaying the Raiders in their upcoming matchups.

Mahomes is all about focusing on the game rather than outside distractions. If the Chiefs can clinch a third straight Super Bowl appearance in 2024, Mahomes might just find himself at the top of the NFL’s 2025 rankings.
As of now, no team has ever achieved a Super Bowl three-peat, but the Chiefs are considered favorites to make history. If Mahomes leads them to another title, his legacy could be cemented even further.
