Hill is maintaining his stance on who would win in a race, stating he’s ready to put his speed to the test after Lyles issued a challenge.
The incident kicked off when media personality Kay Adams visited Dolphins training camp and discussed Lyles’ comments about being “world champions” in athletics. Hill didn’t hold back, expressing his belief that he could outrun Lyles in a sprint.
“I would beat Noah Lyles … maybe not by much, but I would win,” Hill insisted.
Just days after voicing his confidence, Hill is now proposing a 50-yard dash against Lyles and is eager to see how Lyles will respond.
As one of the fastest players in the NFL, Hill has clocked speeds up to 22.01 mph. However, Lyles boasts Olympic-level speed, recorded at 27.09 mph during his gold medal run at the 2024 Olympics. His average speed is even more impressive at 23.17 mph.
Considering the gear Hill wears during games, racing in lighter footwear could potentially level the playing field—a thought worth pondering!
Hill has thrown down the gauntlet, and now it’s up to Lyles to either accept the challenge or decline gracefully. If they do race, it promises to be a thrilling spectacle, especially since Lyles has become a bit of a controversial figure among fans of other sports. Will he embrace that persona?
