It’s all over social media – everyone’s talking about the “mom reveal” after a daughter shared what made her mom the ultimate “it girl”.
Mimi Drabik has always known her mom to be an “it” girl – she recently uncovered evidence of it while flipping through her mom’s high school yearbook.
In a TikTok post, Drabik (@mimiidrabik) shared, “My mom was always an ‘it’ girl.” She found out her mom was once the high school homecoming queen and was known as the ‘cutest and easiest to get along with’.
Drabik revealed, “My favorite thing about her is that she wasn’t just a cheerleader but also in the band.”
In her mom’s old yearbook, classmates wrote adoring messages, expressing interest in dating her. Drabik joked, “Every guy pretty much said, ‘You’re awesome. Maybe we can go out this summer.’ It seems they were all smitten with her.”
Her mom, though, downplayed the attention, referring to herself as a “humble king”, when her daughter brought up the comments. “Mimi, they say that to everyone,” she humbly replied.
After Drabik’s TikTok video garnered over 285,000 views in just one day, over 90 people clamored for a “reveal”. Fans noted that Drabik’s mom still exudes the same warmth and charisma till today.
Comments like “Mom reveal” and “Yearbook pictures reveal?” flooded the post, with users eager to see the ‘it’ girl in her prime.
In a follow-up video posted on June 11, Drabik showcased her mom’s 1983 yearbook photos, her homecoming queen snapshots, and more recent images. Some quick fans even tracked down Drabik’s mom from old videos before the reveal.
Interestingly, some viewers recognized Drabik’s mom from her past appearances on SevenSuperGirls, a web show that ran from 2008 to 2018, where she entertained preteen girls with weekly routines and skits on YouTube.
