“Family Dinner Disrupted: Dog Steals the Spotlight and Becomes Pet of the Week!”

This week brought us a delightful collection of pet antics, from a dog’s comical reaction to being left at home to a Great Dane frolicking with his horse buddy. There’s never a dull moment in the world of pets!

As part of our weekly Pet of the Week feature, we’ve received some fantastic submissions from our readers. If you think your furry friend has what it takes to be crowned next week’s Pet of the Week, share your videos and photos with us using the instructions at the end of this post.

Winner

Cooper the dog
Paula Isaacson

This week’s top pet is the adorable Cooper, a 2-year-old Aussiedor—a mix of Australian Shepherd and Labrador Retriever. Cooper loves being part of the family and often joins everyone at mealtime, hoping for a tasty morsel.

Recently, he surprised his family by finishing all the food in his bowl without any fuss. Paula said, “He just wanted to be included in our meal.” Now, they joke that Cooper will be dining at the table with them from now on, thanks to a funny video of his dining experience!

Finalists

Horris the cat
Noelle Keegan

Our first finalist is Horris, who brings joy and support to her owner Noelle Keegan, describing her as a “shining light.” Her affectionate and cuddly ways make any tough day feel a little brighter.

Ozzie the cat
Carol Parisien

Next up is Ozzie, a cheeky cat known for his amusing sleeping positions. One day, he hilariously positioned his head against the arm of a chair, aligning perfectly with the design on the cushion, giving the illusion that his head belonged to the cat on the pillow! Carol chuckled, “He’s such a funny boy.”

Yogi the dog
Darla Ramsarran

Last but not least, we have Yogi, a 2-year-old Yorkie mix who fills his owner Darla Ramsarran with an overwhelming sense of love. She shares that Yogi is not only sweet but also incredibly smart.
