Winner
This week’s Pet of the Week winner is King, a delightful Bichon and Maltese mix belonging to Mary Ann Gonzales. One of King’s favorite pastimes is snuggling up with Gonzales to watch America’s Funniest Home Videos, especially those featuring other pets. “His excitement while watching just lights up our home,” she shared.
Finalists
First up among our finalists is Oliver Presley Twist, a cherished 17-year-old rescue dog who passed away in June. His owner, Pamela Schroder, fondly remembers fostering him over 16 years ago, which quickly turned into a forever home. “We fell head over heels for him,” she reminisced, proving that love knows no bounds. Oliver’s legacy continues to warm Pamela’s heart.
Next, we have Princess Bear, an adorable 19-month-old Persian and Munchkin mix cat owned by Lisa Marie Gruttadauria-Thomas. Recently, she gave her owner a fright by refusing her favorite soft wet food. After some troubleshooting, they discovered she preferred a different brand—until she demanded her original back! Princess Bear’s quirky behavior keeps the family entertained and amused.
Rounding out our finalists is Oscar, a lovable lurcher who has been part of Di Bowker’s family for the last decade. Each Christmas and Halloween, Oscar gets dressed up in entertaining costumes, delighting the children with his transformations—from snowman to Count “Dogula,” and more. Bowker proudly noted that Oscar also serves as a therapy dog, bringing joy and support to many children over the years.
