Australian Shepherd Finds Joy in Herding His Canine Brother Instead of Sheep

A recent TikTok video has captured the hearts of many, showcasing just how enthusiastic herding dogs can be about their work. These loyal companions, originally bred to manage livestock, often extend their herding instincts to everyday life, whether it’s with other pets, kids, or even their owners, as noted by the American Kennel Club.

Alyssa, known on TikTok as @alyssa_tackett, enlisted her Australian shepherd, Winston, to help with a simple task—fetching his doggy brother, Moose. Excited and ready, Winston eagerly set off on his mission, his body wiggling with anticipation. After a quick pause to confirm the plan, he dashed downstairs.

Viewers could hear Moose grumbling as Winston tried to herd him upstairs. Determined, Winston didn’t give up, and soon enough, he triumphantly returned upstairs with a big grin, leading a somewhat reluctant Moose. The task was complete, and Winston reveled in the praise he received.

The video’s caption? “He loves his job.”

In a follow-up clip, Alyssa humorously highlighted Moose’s perspective. Apparently, Moose “hates mornings and is very stubborn about coming upstairs.” Without Winston’s motivation, there’s a good chance Moose would stay snoozing.

This delightful clip has gathered over 2.8 million views, 473,500 likes, and 454 comments to date. Viewers were particularly tickled by Moose’s grumpy demeanor in response to being called.

One user shared, “I lost it at the grumpy Moose part,” while another commented, “The way he sprinted up like he knew you just sent him on a dangerous mission.” Others noted Winston’s classic pause at the bottom of the stairs, enjoying every moment of his ‘job.’
