After spending their entire lives in one cozy apartment, two dogs were left baffled by the sudden changes at home.
Spencer and Madison Fear welcomed their golden retriever and Bernese mountain dog during college, and that apartment was all they knew as home. However, in the days leading up to their graduation, the couple began the packing process.
As their parents came to collect furniture, the couple was left with just an air mattress and two folding chairs for their final few days. Their two dogs quickly claimed the chairs, sporting concerned expressions in a TikTok video by @copperandchevy. With everything they were used to disappearing, they seemed to wonder, “Where do we sit now?”
The caption humorously noted: “Utter confusion for Copper and Chevy.”
The dogs peered at their owners, clearly puzzled that the comfy couches were gone. The golden retriever’s incredulous side-eye emphasized their displeasure at being left with only chairs or the hard floor.
Unknown to them, a spacious yard and a new inside space awaited them in their upcoming home.
The actual move took about three hours, which Spencer thought was just as entertaining as their dogs’ antics on the chairs.
Leftover items were crammed into Madison’s Honda Civic, and the couple squeezed in with the dogs. The golden retriever barely had half a seat in the back, while the 8-month-old Bernese pup enjoyed a comfy spot on Madison’s lap for the ride.
They had been taking trips to the new house with the dogs while moving belongings, so Spencer suspected the pups had an inkling of where they were headed. However, he wondered if they comprehended that this time wasn’t just another weekend jaunt.
What’s Everyone Saying?
The amusing TikTok video has gone viral, garnering over 1.1 million views, 294,100 likes, and close to 250 comments as of Wednesday.
One viewer humorously noted: “The golden is judging you.” Another added: “If confusion had faces… they’re so expressive, it’s adorable.” One fan even speculated what the dogs were thinking: “Dogs: ‘Be honest with us, mom, did you get in trouble & have all your toys taken away? Because ours got taken too.’
