Brett Kavanaugh Faces Criticism at the DNC

During the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Wednesday night, a lively video featuring U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and former Attorney General William Barr being grilled by Kamala Harris had the audience laughing and cheering.

This entertaining clip is a remix that combines moments from Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing and Barr’s testimony, set to the catchy beat of Megan Thee Stallion’s Savage.

The video followed a speech by Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, who praised Harris and declared the need to end “the scam of Donald Trump” by electing her and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to the White House.

Clips from the video featured Harris asking Kavanaugh, “Have you ever discussed Special Counsel [Robert] Mueller or his investigation with anyone?” The audience enjoyed a zoomed-in shot of Kavanaugh’s confused expression as he replied with a hesitant “well” and “um.”

The compilation then switched to Barr, as Harris firmly asked, “Has the president [Donald Trump] or anyone at the White House ever asked or suggested that you open an investigation of anyone, yes or no please sir?” The focus zoomed in on Barr’s puzzled face as he simply stated, “I don’t know.”

Harris also challenged then-CIA director nominee Gina Haspel and former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions during the video.

Returning to Kavanaugh’s hearing, Harris asked him, “Can you think of any laws that give the government power to make decisions about the male body?” This pointed question, hinting at the future overturning of Roe v. Wade, led to a pronounced awkward pause, resulting in laughter from the crowd as Kavanaugh eventually replied, “Uh, um I’m not thinking of any right now.”

With the words “She won’t back down neither will we” displayed on screen, Kavanaugh fumbled through a thought, prompting Harris to encourage him to “move on.”

The video concluded with “Let’s all move on,” drawing applause and cheers from the audience. Following the event, the Harris campaign shared this compilation on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.
