During a recent campaign rally by former President Donald Trump in Las Vegas, several attendees ended up in the hospital due to heat-related issues, similar to a previous event in Phoenix, Arizona.
On a scorching day where temperatures soared to around 105 degrees, Trump took the stage at the Nevada State Fairgrounds. The Clark County Fire Department reported that six people required hospital treatment while 24 others received on-site care, with most incidents attributed to the extreme heat. Emergency services set up cooling tents to assist 97 others dealing with the heat.
The Trump campaign had prepared for the conditions, providing water, umbrellas, misting fans, and medical staff on standby during the Las Vegas rally. In Phoenix, attendees waiting for a speech by Trump faced similar challenges, with 11 individuals requiring hospitalization due to the heat.
Nevada GOP chair Michael McDonald brushed off concerns about the weather, describing it as typical for Las Vegas residents. Trump, in his characteristic style, made light of the situation during his speech, joking about the heat and reassuring attendees of their well-being.
Trump humorously urged his audience to inform staff if they felt unwell, emphasizing their care and concern. He playfully interacted with the crowd, teasing about his sweaty appearance on stage and expressing gratitude for their support.
It remains unclear where Trump’s next rally will take place as his supporters eagerly await his next appearance.
