Reports indicated two critically injured and one deceased spectator at the rally, along with the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was neutralized by security.
The FBI has labeled the incident as an assassination attempt, leading the investigation with support from the Secret Service and local authorities.
In response, LaCivita and Wiles advised D.C. and Florida staffers to avoid offices until further notice. They will increase security presence and cautioned against political tensions, urging staff to report any suspicious behavior.
