In his latest appearance alongside Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Barack Obama took a swipe at Donald Trump, dissecting his speeches and controversial merchandise pitches.
At a lively rally in Atlanta, Obama humorously remarked, “He’s trying to sell you gold sneakers and a $100,000 watch, even a Trump BibleāGod’s word, Donald Trump edition!” This jab evoked laughter from the crowd, and Obama quipped, “You can’t make this up. If this were a Saturday Night Live skit, you’d think it’s too bizarre to be real.”
Obama didn’t hold back on criticizing Trump’s handling of events like the January 6 Capitol riots, saying, “Have you seen Trump lately? His speeches are just rambling nonsense. He even called January 6 a day of love, like it was some music festival.”
He added a relatable touch, saying, “If your grandpa were acting like this, you’d be calling family asking, ‘Have you noticed grandpa’s a bit off?’
Obama’s speech was part of a rally that also featured big names like Bruce Springsteen, Tyler Perry, Spike Lee, and Samuel L. Jackson, who rallied support for Harris as the election approaches. Springsteen asserted, “Harris is vying to be the 47th president, while Trump is leaning toward tyranny. He doesn’t grasp what it means to be truly American.”
Meanwhile, Trump campaigned in Arizona and Nevada, emphasizing immigration and border security. In Tempe, he painted a grim scenario, stating, “We’re becoming a garbage can for the world. The U.S. is an occupied country, but soon it will be liberated on November 5.”
