After two decades of marriage, it’s common for romance to fade, right? Well, that’s a myth for one couple, whose love remains as strong as ever, even after 21 years together.
Meet Mariia Trush, a university student who recently made waves on TikTok (@mary.charrm) with a sweet video showcasing her parents’ undeniable affection for each other.
Posted on August 29, the video has gone viral, racking up over 4.9 million views and nearly 1 million likes, capturing the hearts of TikTok users who admire their love story since their marriage in July 2003.
Trush shares that her parents both experienced previous marriages before they found one another, bringing a sense of maturity to their relationship. “They know what they want,” she explained.
What keeps their love alive? It’s all about the little things. Whether it’s her dad bringing home fruit or her mom reaching out to hold his hand, these small gestures of affection play a significant role in their bond.
Interestingly, Trush’s parents also run a business together, working side by side daily without letting it affect their love for each other.
Growing up surrounded by this warmth has taught Trush the value of a loving relationship. Within just days of posting, their video has accumulated over 2,200 comments, with many people celebrating her parents’ enduring romance.
While the majority of comments were positive, some viewers expressed discomfort with such displays of affection around children, which surprised Trush. Yet, many others chimed in, eager for their own kids to witness such love. One user remarked, “If I have kids, this is what I want them to see,” while another said, “Proof love exists.”
Amidst the admiration, some jokes floated around, like, “How does it feel living in my dream?”
