Professional wrestlers consistently put their bodies on the line, delivering exhilarating performances to fans both live and at home.
However, sometimes unforeseen circumstances disrupt their plans, as is the case with a wrestler slated to compete in an eagerly awaited match on AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday.
Tony Khan, the founder of AEW, made a significant announcement via TikTok for tonight’s AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday. He shared, “We were set for a major match: Willow Nightingale, the former TBS Champion, versus Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., the prior AEW Women’s World Champion, for a shot at the AEW Women’s World Title this Saturday at AEW WrestleDream.”
“Sadly, Dr. Britt Baker is unwell and unable to travel. Given her condition, it’s best to replace her to ensure the safety of everyone involved,” Khan added.
Instead of the one-on-one showdown with Baker, Nightingale will now face three former AEW Women’s World Champions in a four-way match against Saraya, Nyla Rose, and Jamie Hayter—certainly a tall order for her!
We wish Baker a speedy recovery and hope to see her back in the ring soon.

Baker’s wrestling journey began in 2014 when she joined the International Wrestling Cartel and trained under WWE stars Jonny Gargano and Candice LeRae.
She briefly appeared in WWE, albeit in a losing effort against current WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax.
After some time in independent promotions, Baker gained recognition in a four-corner survival match against Madison Rayne, Chelsea Green, and Tessa Blanchard at All In in 2018.

Eventually, Baker signed with AEW and quickly rose to stardom, cleverly incorporating her real-life dental profession into her wrestling persona.
On August 13, 2021, she captured the AEW Women’s World Championship from Hikaru Shida and held it for an impressive 290 days, marking the second-longest reign in the title’s history before losing it to Thunder Rosa.
In 2022, Baker also clinched the Women’s Owen Hart Cup, defeating Ruby Soho in the finals.
