To celebrate Sony’s announcement of the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, let’s rewind and highlight some sports games that defined the PlayStation experience.

10. Skate (PS3, 2007)

Prior to Skate, skateboarding games relied heavily on button-mashing. But this title innovated the genre by allowing players to perform tricks simply by flicking the analog sticks, transforming a basic maneuver into a thrilling experience that rivaled complex combos.

This wasn’t exclusive to PlayStation, but owning a PS3 without Skate felt incomplete.
