Roman Reigns Makes a Powerful Comeback at SummerSlam 2024

During the exhilarating main event at SummerSlam 2024, Cody Rhodes had a surprising ally in his clash against Solo Sikoa and the New Bloodline.

While Kevin Owens and Randy Orton showed up to tackle Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, the true standout moment came when Roman Reigns made his entrance sporting a shirt that read “OTC,” which Jackie Redmond later dubbed as “Original Tribal Chief.”

Once he hit the ring, Reigns made quick work of Solo Sikoa with his iconic Superman Punch, followed by a powerful Spear. Even though Reigns lost his title to Rhodes at Wrestlemania XL, he chose to let the American Nightmare handle Sikoa, who met his fate with a Cross Rhodes and a pin.

Reigns’s desire to reclaim his title is evident, but it’s clear he craves something even more: his position as the Head of the Table. Sikoa echoed this sentiment, visibly outraged about Reigns’ impressive return.

With a decorated history, Roman Reigns holds four WWE Championships, two WWE Universal Championships, and has also snagged titles in other divisions. His notable achievements include winning the Royal Rumble in 2015 and the Elimination Chamber in 2018.

Reigns made history by holding the Undisputed WWE Championship for a staggering 1,316 days, marking the fourth-longest reign in WWE history and the longest of the modern era.

His title journey began when he claimed the Universal Championship at Payback on August 30, 2020, defeating “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in a No Holds Barred Triple Threat match.

After a remarkable 581-day reign, Reigns triumphed over Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 38, emerging as the first WWE superstar to simultaneously hold both the Universal and WWE Championships, earning the title of Undisputed WWE Champion.

His reign continued for another 735 days with successful defenses against top contenders like Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Jey Uso, before losing to Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania XL in one of wrestling’s most talked-about events. Post-defeat, he took a break from WWE, allowing Solo Sikoa to helm the Bloodline.

With his comeback now, the implications for Sikoa, the Bloodline, and the WWE Universe are monumental. It’s time to acknowledge Reigns, who might be poised to dismantle the very Bloodline he established.
