World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is experiencing unprecedented success, largely attributed to its current head of creative, Triple H.
While many fans and wrestlers are embracing this new direction, not everyone is onboard. A notable voice of dissent comes from former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley, who has expressed a preference for the Vince McMahon era.
In a recent episode of The Laboratory with Paz, Lashley shared his thoughts: “If I say the wrong thing right now,” he joked. “I had a connection with Vince. Vince understood me. He had an eye for talent and recognized my potential.” He reminisced about the valuable tips McMahon offered throughout his career.
“Vince always saw me as a star and could trust me to represent the brand,” Lashley explained. In contrast, he feels he hasn’t had the same rapport with Triple H, who seems to have his own favorites. “We’ve just not worked together enough for a solid connection,” Lashley admitted.
Historically, Lashley thrived under McMahon’s creative vision, racking up multiple championship titles. His recent venture with The Hurt Business also didn’t achieve the same success under Triple H as it did with McMahon.
With uncertainty surrounding his contract, speculation is mounting about Lashley potentially moving to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), or New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). Given Lashley’s past experience, a return to TNA seems plausible, where he had significant success, including being a four-time World Heavyweight Champion.
Regardless of where he ends up, Lashley’s talent will undoubtedly be an asset to whichever company he chooses.
