Professional wrestling has a long-standing tradition of embracing its veterans. If you’ve built a fan base, a comeback can lead to a nice payday.
Right now, WWE features several established stars like CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Despite their popularity, there’s a current WWE Superstar who’s feeling a bit fed up with these seasoned pros.
In a chat with Adam Barnard of Foundation Radio, Dirty Dominik Mysterio expressed his desire to face off against CM Punk to settle a score from his childhood.
“The last time I shared a ring with CM Punk, I was just 11, and he was doing his thing, singing happy birthday to my sister,” Mysterio recalled. “Now, I want to see what he’s got.”
“Back then, I was my dad’s height, but now I’m 6’1″ and 200 pounds. I’ve watched CM Punk wrestle, so let’s see how he holds up, old man.”
Mysterio continued, taking aim at other legends in the industry. “Honestly, I’m just over these old heads thinking they can still compete with this new generation. This is just my opinion. At the end of the day, I’m all about being the greatest Mysterio ever.”
“If those old heads want to come back, they absolutely can. CM Punk, The Rock, it doesn’t matter. Maybe they’re just jealous of my hair and my mustache.”
