Brittany Mahomes is standing her ground against criticism after she seemingly liked a post on Instagram by Donald Trump. Following the backlash, she shared a message on her story addressing “haters”:
“Being a hater as an adult means you’ve got some unresolved childhood issues. If you’re fully grown and still can’t handle others’ success, that’s on you.”
This came after some followers noticed her like on a post detailing Trump’s Republican Party platform for the upcoming 2024 election, which included controversial stances on immigration and gender in sports.
Despite the stirred reactions, Brittany has yet to publicly support any political candidate, and she doesn’t follow Trump on Instagram. Her single like sparked comments from fans, particularly among those who started following her due to her connection with Taylor Swift.
Reactions ranged from claims that she has revealed her political alignment to shocked remarks about her marriage to Patrick Mahomes and their mixed-race children.
Patrick, her husband and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, had previously opted not to endorse any candidates this election year, emphasizing the importance of personal research and informed voting, rather than prescribing whom to support.
In addition to her political controversies, Brittany has also made headlines for her growing friendship with Swift, as they’ve been spotted together at games and social events with other celebrities. However, their bond faced scrutiny when fans unearthed old tweets where Brittany criticized Swift during her teenage years, which she has since deleted.
