Popular conservative figure Nick Fuentes decided against endorsing former President Donald Trump after the Republican National Convention (RNC).
Trump gave his first RNC speech in Milwaukee after surviving an assassination attempt over the weekend.
In a livestream on Rumble post-RNC, Fuentes stated, “I’m not a Republican and I don’t care much about it. I’m not excited… I won’t be leaving my house to vote. What’s the point? I’m not backing this.”
He continued, “As a true conservative, you couldn’t make me care. I’m not interested. I’m done with it.”
Trump concluded the RNC with his keynote speech, officially accepting the GOP’s nomination for the 2024 election. During his speech, he paid tribute to a fallen fire chief and addressed the recent attempt on his life.
Trump spoke about the recent assassination attempt where a 20-year-old fired at him during a rally, causing an injury to his ear. The perpetrator was later killed by the Secret Service. Trump promised to “save this country” and deliver a brighter future for Americans.
In 2022, Trump faced backlash for dining with rapper Ye (Kanye West) and Fuentes at Mar-a-Lago. McCain criticized Trump’s association with Fuentes, dubbing him unfit for the presidency.
Former Congressman Joe Walsh tweeted about the dinner, slamming Republican silence on Trump’s connections to controversial figures.
