Man Charged for Voting in Both Florida and Pennsylvania

A Pennsylvania man is in hot water over allegations of double voting during the 2020 general election.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania announced on Friday that 62-year-old Philip Pulley from Huntington Valley is facing multiple charges, including false voter registration, double voting, and election fraud.

According to court documents, Pulley was registered in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, from 2005 to 2023, but also registered to vote in Broward County, Florida, in August 2018 using his Lighthouse Point home address. Records show he registered as a Republican in Florida.

In February 2020, Pulley allegedly kept his residency in both counties while submitting a false application to vote in Philadelphia County, providing incorrect details about his address and Social Security number.

He is accused of applying for a mail-in ballot in Philadelphia in October 2020 while also submitting an absentee ballot in Broward County and voting in person in Montgomery County on Election Day, November 3, 2020. Court documents indicate he voted for president and vice president on all three occasions.

Additionally, investigators claim Pulley voted in the 2022 midterm elections in all three counties, including voting twice for Pennsylvania’s open Senate seat.

If convicted, Pulley faces a maximum of five years in prison, with potential penalties including up to three years of supervised release, fines ranging from $10,000 to $250,000, and a $100 special assessment fee.

While former President Trump has consistently alleged widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election, investigations have shown little evidence to support these claims. A report by the Associated Press in December 2021 found fewer than 475 potential voter fraud cases across the six battleground states where Trump contested the election results, despite Biden’s victory margin exceeding 70 million votes.
