Megan Thee Stallion Joins Kamala Harris at Atlanta Rally

Big news! Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, is set to perform at Kamala Harris’s first Georgia rally since announcing her presidential run. This was confirmed by Kevin Munoz from Harris’s campaign, with Billboard being the first to break the story.

After President Joe Biden decided to exit the 2024 race, Democrats have rallied around Harris. She’s already snagged endorsements from several pop culture figures, including Charli XCX, who is using her latest album, Brat, to support the vice president’s campaign.

Other notable endorsers include Demi Lovato, John Legend, George Clooney, and Star Wars star Mark Hamill. Not to mention, Harris received the okay from Beyoncé to use her Grammy-winning track Freedom at her recent rally in Wisconsin.

Harris has also gained significant support from key party leaders. In just 48 hours into her candidacy, she was endorsed by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Recently, both Barack and Michelle Obama voiced their support for her as well.

On the Republican side, Donald Trump had his share of endorsements during the recent Republican National Convention. Amber Rose passionately backed him, while Kid Rock performed his hit American Bad Ass ahead of Trump’s keynote speech.

As for polling trends, Harris has been gaining ground against Trump and the Republicans. A recent Landmark Communications poll shows her trailing Trump by just 1.3 percentage points (48% to 46.7%) in Georgia—a crucial swing state. However, when factoring in other candidates, Trump leads Harris by 1.5 points (45.8% to 44.3%).

Meanwhile, another poll from Emerson College Polling and The Hill indicated Trump leading Harris by 2 percentage points in Georgia, a difference that falls within the survey’s 3.4-point margin of error. This marks a notable improvement from Biden’s earlier performance against Trump, where he trailed by 5 points in another Emerson/The Hill poll.
