A viral video captured an “aggressive” shark circling a man riding his Sea Doo in Florida waters, creating quite a buzz.
The incident took place off the coast of Walton County in Florida, where the man, Andrew Cady, encountered a bull shark ramming his jetski near Grayton Beach.
The video has garnered over 1,000 comments and shares, with Cady reporting the incident to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office as the shark approached swimmers about 100 feet away.
The intense video shows the shark approaching the boat, splashing around, and leaping out of the water, as captured by Cady.
In an interview with Inside Edition, Cady expressed his unease at the shark’s aggressive behavior, mentioning that it even launched itself towards his jet ski.
Walton County, Florida faced multiple shark attacks, leading to the closure of ocean waters following two incidents. Elisabeth Foley and two teenagers were victims of the attacks in Watersound Beach and Seacrest Beach, respectively.
Reports from the scene indicate severe injuries, with Foley in critical condition and Lulu Gribbin undergoing amputations due to the attacks.
The community rallied around the victims, sharing updates on the CaringBridge platform, highlighting the strength and resilience shown by those affected.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office was proactive in ensuring beach safety, monitoring shorelines and advising caution to swimmers and beachgoers given the presence of sharks in the area.
