Suntegrity Skincare, based in Las Vegas, has issued a recall for its Impeccable Skin Sunscreen Foundation products due to the presence of mold in some batches.
The Food and Drug Administration revealed that certain shades of Suntegrity’s sunscreen products showed mold growth exceeding acceptable levels during recent testing on lot 115BU. As a precautionary measure, several other lots were recalled.
A specific mold species called Aspergillus sydowii found in the contaminated products could potentially trigger allergic reactions when applied to the skin, especially in individuals with compromised immune systems.
While there haven’t been any reported adverse reactions from the recalled sunscreen, the FDA warns that primary fungal infections could occur if the product comes into contact with open wounds or sunburned skin.
The affected 2-ounce sunscreen in an orange tube was sold online and in stores nationwide. The lot number can be found on the back of the tube near the seal.
Below are the lot numbers and corresponding shades for the recalled products:
- Lot No. 107IV – “Ivory” shade
- Lot No. 107NU – “Nude” shade
- Lot No. 114sA – “Sand” shade
- Lot No. 101MO – “Mocha” shade
Consumers who purchased the affected products were notified by Suntegrity Skincare via email. If you bought the sunscreen from their website or Amazon storefront, you can contact [email protected] with your order details for a store credit, refund, or exchange for another Suntegrity Face SPF product.

If you experience any adverse reactions from the sunscreen, the FDA encourages reporting them through the MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program online, via fax, or mail. Visit the FDA’s website for more information.
