Satellite Photos Show ‘Near Total Destruction’ of Ammo Depot Inside Russia

## Satellite Imagery Reveals Extensive Damage to Russian Ammo Depot

Recent satellite images confirm the severe impact of Ukrainian drone strikes on a Russian ammunition storage facility in the Voronezh region. Reports from Ukrainian media reveal that explosive drones targeted the storage site in Sergeevka on July 7, resulting in the destruction of various types of ammunition intended for Russian forces in Ukraine.

Additionally, Ukraine’s military intelligence agency disclosed a separate attack on an ammunition depot in the same region in late June, causing a significant fire. The governor of Voronezh declared a state of emergency in the Podgorensky area, just west of Sergeevka, with residents being temporarily relocated due to safety concerns.

The aftermath of the drone attack led to the near complete destruction of stored ammunition and equipment, spanning an area of approximately 9 square kilometers, as stated in a recent intelligence update by the British government. Despite Russia’s robust air defense systems in the vicinity, the successful strike highlights the vulnerability of key Russian installations to Ukrainian operations.

Subsequent intelligence assessments anticipate further vulnerabilities in Russia’s logistics chains due to the loss of ammunition supplies, likely prompting strategic shifts to safeguard against future attacks. This development poses challenges for Moscow in sustaining its military efforts in Ukraine, where it relies heavily on stockpiled ammunition for ongoing operations.

To compensate for dwindling domestic production capacity, Russia has reportedly sought additional munitions support from foreign allies like North Korea, China, and Iran. Conversely, Ukraine also faces challenges in maintaining adequate ammunition stocks amidst the prolonged conflict, emphasizing the critical role of ammunition supplies in the ongoing conflict dynamics.
